海外に出たことのある人であれば
日本で習った英会話が
どれだけ通用しないものなのか
痛感したという人も多いだろう。

案外容易に理解してくれたり。
これは完全発音の問題と
言わざるを得ない。
というのも日本人に限ったわけではなく。
中国人なら中国人の
インド人にはインド人の
独特な訛りのような発音がある。
ちなみに我々日本人が
発音を苦手とするその原因は
カタカナの存在が大きいと言われている。
基本的に英語を日本的に
表現しようとするときは
カタカナを用いる。
が、英語はカタカナだけでは
表現しきれない言語。
SとTH、RとL
だったりと、我々にとって
些細な違いは現地の人達からすると
とても大きな違いである。
それを理解しないと
正しい発音を身につけることはできない。
発音がもとで
トラブルになるということもある。
しっかりと学ぶことで
スピーキング・リスニング
共に向上を見込むことができる。

成果の伸びに喜ぶこともあれば
逆にに実力不足に悲観することもあるだろう。
しかしそれがまた
英会話学習のための一つの指標になる。
自分の実力をはっきりと
知ることで何をすればいいのか
どう取り組むべきなのか。
というのが見えてくることも少なくない。
定期的に自分を
見直すということを忘れずに。
自分を知ることに慣れてくると
コントロールがしやすくなってくる。
それはつまり
学ぶことに対して器用になっていく
ということ。
学習においてとても大切なことだ。
